Good things come to those who wait

Did you know God is amazing!  He really does care for you and me!  I cannot be more excited about what is happening to me right now.  As you may recall, I had recently been in a poor relationship for 5 years which was obviously not going anywhere.  I started dating online-I hated that; however, as my online subscription was ending, I was deleting my profile.  I checked in on one more message that I had which was from someone who had contacted me previously.  I sent him a message to address the fact that his age said “90” and his picture didn’t match.  He actually started talking to me and I was responding.  The next thing I realize we are talking for hours all day everyday.  I didn’t want to be disappointed yet again so I decided to quickly meet him in person.  I even took my 20 y/o daughter with.  In case she saw something I did not.  He was amazingly like me-full of life, funny, smart, witty, and with the most gorgeous eyes…  That evening we went on a second and then the third date- lol.  We’ve been together since.

When I was ready to just give up on dating and finding someone, God sent him to me.  He did have problems, having recently experienced tragedy in his home, but as he heals, he’s growing stronger and stronger with me as his rock until he learns to allow God to be his rock.  I feel so blessed to have this wonderful man in my life, and I look forward to spending the rest of my days with him.  I’m done with this dating mess!  Praise God for giving me patience and strength as I waited for the next good chapter in my life!

May you also have the patience and strength you need to get what you want and need.  Having faith and trusting in God works if we allow it.

I am a Hispanic single woman, born and raised in the military lifestyle. Went on to become a veteran and an Army spouse. Throughout my life I have struggled with relationships, to include the most important, the one with my Father, God. I am currently working as a high school counselor, but am a Licensed Professional Counselor, and studying to take the Addictions Counselor exam for my LCDC. I want to help, encourage, and maybe through my many mistakes, help others, men and women.
