It’s hard enough to stay away from our temptations; those things which if we confront them, we will be weak, and quite possibly, give into it. Even harder yet when one is a Christian. This is when the enemy strikes harder, for he doesn’t want any of us, not a one, to be saved. He wants company. The enemy uses our very own basic nature to distract us away from God. He plays dirty too- “Oh you poor thing,…..” when we look at ourselves with pride or pity, it gives him the foothold he needs. That seed of doubt is planted.
We have been allowed these temptations so that we can exercise our freedom of choice. When we choose God, we are made stronger through Him. Phil. 4:13. We were given the power of choice. God wants us to choose Him, but will not force us.
Choose today who you will serve. I’ve made my choice! Yet I struggle daily. Josh. 24:15
God knows we get tired and weak. He knows we cannot fight the evil one alone. Therefore, we must stay focused on Him, and allow Him to take over. He’s already won! Mat. 11:28; 1John 4:18
Stay focused brothers and sisters!!
