Looking through the dating sites, I find men looking for their “soulmate”. For those of you who may not understand this term, put simply, it means that you have found someone who seems to be you’re “other half”, as if you weren’t whole to begin with, but now you are.
We often hear others talking about looking for “the right one”, you’re “knight in shining armor”, ” your other half”, we all have a way to describe this event.
Is there a “Mr./Mrs. Right”? Why does it seem that some people have this need or desire to find their “soulmate”? It seems that it’s a lifetime search for some, while others state they have found theirs. How do you know? I feel like God has sent me the “right man” a couple of times, but I didn’t recognize him…. I let him go for some stupid reason. Now, I find myself hoping, praying that Mr. Right, yet again, comes knocking at my door.
Could it be that we may just have to work hard at making the person with whom we are currently in a relationship, our “soulmate”? Could it be that by selfishness has kept me from recognizing my “soulmate”? Will I ever get this right? I feel like I want to work hard with the right man. I think we all go into a relationship with hope, with some kind of faith, with joy in our hearts that this may be “it”. Could it be that our soulmate actually knocked at the door, and the door was slammed back in their face?
Could it be that some of us may never feel like we have found our “soulmate”?
