Love, what is it and where does it come from

“To form a forever relationship, you will need a Love-centered marriage.  The love you have at the beginning with its intensely personal quality of belonging and possessing fluctuates because it is fed by feelings, and feelings change, especially if needs and desires are not being met.  But the God of Love has made his own love available to each of us.  That love, which the Bible calls agape, never changes.  It is unconditional and does not depend on a person’s behavior.  It goes right on showing kindness to the beloved, no matter what, because it is controlled not by our emotions, but by our will.  The ability to love this way is a gift from God through his Son Jesus Christ; his love channeled through us blesses our mate and our marriage.”    —-Ed Wheat
